The festival programme includes feature films that are mainly small independent British productions that have a connection with suburbia. During HERE festival we draw on local talent and themes and we are also very proud to premiere five new short films, commissioned for the festival. READ MORE.

For 2019, Talkies is keeping tickets to regular events at £6.50 - the same price for three years running. Your ticket also includes the booking fee, so no extras to pay! Where does the money go? Talkies is run by volunteers who don't get paid. Most of your ticket money pays for overheads - licenses to screen [...]
The British weather tried its best to put them off but the Talkies crowd are made of sterner stuff and turned out in their hundreds to have a picnic in the dark watching the classic ET - The Extra Terrestrial. Check out the pictures here

Last year FRIENDS OF BROOMFIELD PARK AND TALKIES COMMUNITY CINEMA had a sell out with Ghostbusters in Broomfield Park. This year will be even better - bring friends and family, come in fancy dress, make some alien food and have a picnic in the park in the dark. go to webpage
