KINOVAN AT N21 FESTIVAL

Talkies have hosted KinoVan at a number of locations around Enfield. This is the last time our communities will have a chance to see it as the project draws to a close. The KinoVan is a mobile cinema showing films from across London, inspired by travelling cinema vans of the 1920s.
The KinoVan has archives of film footage taken throughout London’s history – including films from around Enfield, Winchmore Hill, Southgate and Palmers Green. Each screening gives a unique insight a different borough’s past, with a mix of old home movies and other gems from the archive.
N21 festival goers will be able to see how the area has changed and compare our modern area with what it was like decades ago – the changes in some cases are startling, and it isn’t just the architecture.
Fun fact: kino is the Polish, Czech, Croatian, Norwegian and German word for cinema.
