TALKIES’ SHORT FILM COMMISSIONS – PREMIERE NIGHT 2021

We were just days away from the premiere of Talkies commissions in March 2020 when we went into lock down….
So we are opening up again where we left off!
Our 2021 premiere screening will be to a reduced capacity in response to our recent audience survey.
The commissions are another successful partnership with Short Sighted Cinema. These Talkies’ commissions provided £500 towards the production of a short film based in and around Palmers Green in North London. All of the films explore suburban life, embracing locality while expressing individual artistry.
Looking ahead, in 2021 we are extending our partnerships by including Enfield Council and the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF). This will enable us to develop a single new documentary film commission, based within a wider HLF project of ‘Stories of Enfield’.
From 2022 we expect to re-start our normal commission process.
