We are proud to launch our new Short Film Awards, a fresh initiative fromTalkies designed to showcase outstanding filmmaking talent. Through these awards, we aim to shine a spotlight on creative voices, celebrate bold storytelling, and give emerging filmmakers the recognition they deserve.

The Return is the culmination of Italian director Uberto Pasolini’s 30-year mission to adapt the final books of Homer’s Odyssey for the screen (a project much longer than the Odyssey itself, as he likes to say).

John Davidson grows up with Tourette syndrome in 1980s Scotland. He faces a society that does not understand his condition. He eventually becomes a campaigner to increase public awareness.
