TEHRAN: CITY OF LOVE

This second film from London Film School graduate Ali Jaberansari deals with three intertwined stories of love, yearning and modern dating in Tehran, and mixes wry social commentary with a deadpan comic style.  The three main protagonists are: Hessam, a monosyllabic ex-bodybuilding champion, who now works as a personal trainer; Vahid, a hangdog funeral singer; and Mina, a receptionist at a beauty clinic who’s unhappy with her weight. Will they find what they’re looking for?
