SYNOPSIS
Talkies Community Cinema has commissioned film director Kateryna Pavlyuk to create a short film about Cypriot-born Archbishop Costakis Evangelou MBE. For more than 30 years The Archbishop has served Enfield’s young people through the founding of football, boxing and arts clubs in Edmonton. This film is about his work with the Edmonton Eagles Boxing Club and follows the stories of four young people and what the Archbishop and boxing has done for their confidence and self esteem.
This is a truly modern heritage story – a person born outside of the borough not only making Enfield their home but giving back to the community in such a powerful way.
