“Loyal”  follows Arlo, a British Chinese woman who frequents the same North London café daily, forming a bond with Eleni, an older Greek waitress. One hectic morning, Arlo opts for coffee elsewhere, leading to an awkward encounter when Eleni notices the different cup. This lighthearted narrative explores themes of community and connection through a migrant perspective, highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of London. Commissioned by Talkies Community Cinema, “Loyal” celebrates the small yet significant interactions that unite us.
